Pizza Roll

It’s football season and we all know what that means, TAILGATING! As a Florida State Seminole myself, and Buccaneers fan (due to my die hard fan of a husband) I know the importance of football. I also know the importance of game day fuel, better known as beer and food. This past weekend, Matt decided to put on the cooking hat and create a delicious pizza roll. The recipe below feeds 4, or can be cut in smaller portions for an appetizer. I suggest making two full servings for a party of 8-10.

 

Ingredients:

1 roll of pizza dough

2 Tbsp. olive oil

1 tsp. Italian seasoning

1 tsp. garlic salt

1 tsp. basil

1 cup of marinara

¼ bag of pepperoni

1 ½ cup mozzarella cheese

 

Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  2. Roll out pizza dough until thin
  3. Add marinara sauce, peperoni, and cheese in that order
  4. Sprinkle Italian seasoning and garlic salt on top of all ingredients
  5. Tightly roll pizza dough
  6. Lightly brush with olive oil and add basil
  7. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown
