Stuffed Shells

Christmas time is here! One of my favorite dishes growing up was my mom’s stuffed shells. If you love pasta and cheese, then this dish will be a hit among your family. This recipe takes time and attention to detail, but it’s absolutely delicious. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

2 boxes of jumbo shells (pasta)

2 jars of sauce (I use tomato + basil)

1 large container of fat free ricotta cheese

2 cups of fresh mozzarella (shredded)

2 cups of mild cheddar (shredded)

Salt

Pepper

Garlic Salt

Dried parsley

Steps:

  1. Boil pasta shells until cooked
  2. Set shells aside on a large baking sheet to cool
  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 1 cup mozzarella, 1 cup of cheddar cheese, pepper, garlic salt and parsley
  5. Use a small spoon and insert the ricotta cheese mix into the center of each shell
  6. Pour 1 jar of sauce into a large casserole dish
  7. Place jumbo shells facing up
  8. Pour remaining sauce
  9. Bake for 30 minutes
  10. Add remaining shredded cheese to the top
  11. Bake for 10 minutes
  12. Enjoy!

    Stuffed shells are so good! Looks yum. Hopefully no cooked pasta flopped out of your hand and onto the floor…or is that just me when I’m stuffing them? 😁
