Christmas time is here! One of my favorite dishes growing up was my mom’s stuffed shells. If you love pasta and cheese, then this dish will be a hit among your family. This recipe takes time and attention to detail, but it’s absolutely delicious. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 boxes of jumbo shells (pasta)
2 jars of sauce (I use tomato + basil)
1 large container of fat free ricotta cheese
2 cups of fresh mozzarella (shredded)
2 cups of mild cheddar (shredded)
Salt
Pepper
Garlic Salt
Dried parsley
Steps:
- Boil pasta shells until cooked
- Set shells aside on a large baking sheet to cool
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 1 cup mozzarella, 1 cup of cheddar cheese, pepper, garlic salt and parsley
- Use a small spoon and insert the ricotta cheese mix into the center of each shell
- Pour 1 jar of sauce into a large casserole dish
- Place jumbo shells facing up
- Pour remaining sauce
- Bake for 30 minutes
- Add remaining shredded cheese to the top
- Bake for 10 minutes
- Enjoy!
Stuffed shells are so good! Looks yum. Hopefully no cooked pasta flopped out of your hand and onto the floor…or is that just me when I’m stuffing them? 😁
