Turkey Chili

I love quick meals with simple ingredients. I also love delicious meals full of heat and lasting flavor. That is where my turkey chili recipe comes in. I have been feeling under the weather lately, and wanted nothing more than a huge bowl of warm chili. This meal is guaranteed to cheer you up and fill your stomach.

 

Ingredients:

 

1 lb. ground lean turkey chili

1 can of stewed tomatoes

1 can of diced tomatoes

1 6 oz. can of tomato paste

2 teaspoons minced garlic

2 teaspoons chili powder

¼ cup of water

Garlic salt to taste

Fresh ground pepper to taste

 

Steps:

  1. Add cooking spray to a large frying pan and place on burner
  2. Add diced ground turkey to frying pan
  3. Cook on medium heat until golden brown
  4. In a separate large pot, add water and bring to a boil
  5. Add stewed tomatoes, diced tomatoes and tomato paste
  6. Stir into a smooth consistency
  7. Add turkey meat to the tomato sauce
  8. Add in remaining seasoning and stir
  9. Reduce to a low heat and let simmer for 20 minutes
  10. Serve with shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream for extra flavor!
