Brown Sugar Glazed Salmon

Salmon is a great choice for a healthy dinner for the family. Tonight, we enjoyed fresh salmon with a homemade brown sugar glaze. I love that salmon doesn’t have the fishy taste. I also love how healthy I feel after eating it! Did you know that salmon is full of vitamins, minerals and high-quality protein? I accompanied the star of the meal with a fresh vegetable medley.



  • Salmon:
    • 2 salmon filets
    • 3 tablespoons honey
    • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
    • 1 tablespoon water


  • Vegetable Medley:
    • ½ cup green beans
    • ½ cup butternut squash
    • ¼ cup dried cranberries
    • 1 teaspoon (of each) sugar, salt and pepper
    • 2 teaspoons olive oil


Salmon Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Place salmon filets on baking sheet
  3. In a small mixing bowl, combine honey, water and brown sugar into a smooth glaze
  4. Pour glaze over filets
  5. Bake for 12 minutes or until flakey pink consistency is reached


Vegetable Medley Steps:

  1. Wash vegetables
  2. Add cooking spray to a large baking sheet
  3. Add green beans, butternut squash and dried cranberries
  4. Top with salt, pepper, sugar and olive oil
  5. Bake for 25 minutes
